Safety & compliance

Every flight is subject to planning, permission and a final safety decision

Client permission to use a site is only one part of an operation. Before a flight is confirmed and again before launch, Synergy Bridge considers the applicable CAA rules, airspace and restrictions, permissions, site activity, people, obstacles, weather, privacy and the suitability of the operating category.

Operating principles

  • Confirm the scope and intended output before accepting the job.
  • Check airspace, flight restriction zones, nearby aerodromes and temporary restrictions.
  • Obtain land/site permission and any other required operational permission.
  • Complete desktop planning, site-specific risk assessment, RAMS and a proportionate flight plan.
  • Coordinate with the site team, induction process, PPE rules, construction activity and exclusion arrangements.
  • Assess people, public areas, roads, railways, cranes, scaffolding, cables and emergency landing options.
  • Recheck time-sensitive conditions and allow the remote pilot to delay, change or cancel the flight.
  • Secure captured information and deliver it only through the agreed private route.

Go / No-Go decision

Every operation is reassessed before take-off. We proceed only when the airspace, site conditions, weather, people, aircraft limits and planned controls remain suitable.

GOConditions and controls acceptable
HOLDReassess or wait for conditions to improve
NO-GODo not proceed where risks cannot be adequately controlled

Safety takes priority over schedule.

Registrations, competence and insurance

Operations are conducted by appropriately registered and competent remote pilots using aircraft and procedures selected for the site and intended operation. Required Operator and Flyer registrations are maintained, and any additional qualification or authorisation needed for the planned operation is confirmed before acceptance. Commercial insurance is maintained in accordance with the work undertaken and client requirements.

Evidence of registration, competence and insurance can be shared privately with a client where reasonably required.

Operating category

Each proposed operation is reviewed against the applicable operating rules. If the planned flight cannot be conducted within the Open Category, Synergy Bridge will not proceed unless the required authorisation, permissions, competence, controls and insurance are in place.

Responsible capture and secure data handling

Flights are planned around the agreed asset or site while minimising unnecessary capture of people, vehicles and neighbouring property. Project imagery is managed through controlled access, secure storage and agreed retention and sharing arrangements.

Credentials & professional standards

Competence supported by documented standards

Synergy Bridge Intelligence combines structured flight operations, construction-aware planning and disciplined project reporting. Our registrations, qualifications, insurance and professional memberships are maintained in line with the services we undertake and the requirements of each commission.

Registered UAS Operator

UK Civil Aviation Authority registration

Synergy Bridge Intelligence maintains the operator registration required for the unmanned aircraft used in its operations. Aircraft are labelled and operated under the applicable registration and accountability arrangements.

Current

Qualified Remote Pilot

UK Flyer ID requirements

Operational flights are conducted by a remote pilot holding the required UK Flyer ID and working within the applicable operating category, aircraft limitations and site-specific controls.

Current

Construction Site Access

Valid CSCS card held

The relevant individual holds a current CSCS card supporting access to participating construction sites, subject to each principal contractor’s induction, PPE, competence and access requirements.

Current

Remote ID Ready

Aircraft identification capability

Where required for the aircraft and operation, Remote ID is configured and checked as part of the pre-flight process. Aircraft identification and location information is handled in accordance with the applicable operational requirements.

Operational capability

A2 Certificate of Competency

Awarded by a CAA-approved assessment provider

The A2 Certificate of Competency demonstrates additional knowledge of meteorology, unmanned aircraft performance and operational measures used to manage ground risk during eligible Near People operations.

Current

Commercial Drone Insurance

Third-party aviation liability cover

Commercial drone operations are supported by aviation insurance appropriate to the aircraft, operating category and commissioned activity. Evidence of current cover can be supplied to clients during onboarding.
